GBP POINT SYSTEM     16 Points Required for Fall & Spring Semester 9 Points Required for New Members & Members attending Summer Semester 3 points each Semester/Term must be from actively attending a service project.   Points may be earned by any of the following: Six (6) Points Two (2) Points One (1) Point Attend a Convention – State or National                                       <<<< Point Card >>>> 2 pts. per event Attend Meetings Attend Induction Ceremony Plan/Help at Socials Committee Chair/Co-Chair Serve as State Officer Marshal for Graduation   2 pts. per hour Serve at a Fund Raiser Adopt-a-Highway Western Carolina Center Children’s Home Activities Local Service Projects State Service Projects National Service Projects Actively serve on a Committee   Sell/Collect money for a fund raiser ( $10.00 = 1 point )   Donate food/other items for projects ( $2.00 = 1 point )   Assist State Advisor Assist an Officer   Serve in Community Projects as a Volunteer ( must have a signed letter from the organization stating the hours worked ) Examples: United Way   Boys/Girls Club   Hospice *   Blood Mobile   * Note: Blood Mobile points will be 1 pint = 1 point   If a member is unable to attend a meeting, an excuse is required in advance to one of the Executive Officers or the Advisor. An excused absence does not count against the member, but the member does not earn any points. Points will be deducted from your total points if you do not call, or if you sign up and do not honor the commitment. A total of nine to sixteen points are required per Semester/Term. If a member fails to acquire the required number of points during a Semester/Term, he or she will be placed on probation and given the next Semester/Term to make a 25 - 32 points for both Semesters or Semester/Term. Should a sophomore go on probation the Semester/Term before he or she graduates, the member's standing with the society will be decided upon by the Executive Committee. Failure to acquire the 25 - 32 points during the probation Semester/Term will result in loss of membership. A copy of this policy shall be given to all members and initiates for their own benefit. It shall be the responsibility of the individual member to make certain that he or she accumulates the required number of points. The diploma seal and graduation stole may be withheld for a sophomore on probation before he or she graduates as deemed by the Executive Committee.
